Our #4 Employee Scheduling Software pick is ClockIt from es-software.net. With a large number of features, this product was a real challenger for our #3 spot. But, with a limited number of reporting options, ClockIt just couldn't keep up.

Feature Set:  

ClockIt offers many very useful features, including the ability to post schedules on your website, the option to manage employee information, color code shifts, assign multiple shifts to employees on the same day, import and export data and more.

Some of the features missing from this product include the ability to print individual employee schedules, password protection and restoration capabilities. We also didn't like that you have to right-click on a schedule in order to view its start and end times, which is especially annoying for part-time employees with schedules that vary.

Ease of Use/Setup:  

ClockIt offers a setup wizard, which walks you step-by-step through the entire schedule-creation process. However, we found the option of adding and removing employees from your schedule, is not very user-friendly and takes too many steps. If this product would utilize quick icons for this step, it would be much more efficient and easy to use.

Reporting Capabilities:  

ClockIt's reporting capabilities need some help. Really, the only advanced reporting options es-software.net built into this product include reports on employees, employee shifts and on employee information.

Ease of Installation:  

We experienced no problems or errors while installing ClockIt.

Summary:  

ClockIt from es-software.net, with its many useful features, has the potential to be a real contender in the employee-scheduling arena. But, an almost complete lack of reporting options has kept this promising program from gaining the winner's circle.
