If you're looking for scheduling software that's inexpensive and easy-to-use, then Schedule It, our #2 pick and the "TopTenREVIEWS Silver Award" winner, is just what you're looking for. This feature-packed product not only allows you to easily manage employee schedules, but gives you plenty of extras, like the ability to schedule meeting rooms, assign tasks and post schedules online for convenient, employee access.

Although it received perfect scores in many categories, Schedule It's near-total lack of reporting options kept it from overcoming WhenToWork for our #1 pick.

Feature Set:  

Schedule It comes with a bundle of great features, each designed to improve your scheduling ease and efficiency. One useful feature in particular is the drag-and-drop function, which allows you to click on the start time of an employee's shift and then drag it until you reach the end of the shift.

This product also displays various views of your schedule, including daily, weekly, yearly and a regular schedule view. You can also assign multiple shifts on the same day, which is great for part-time employees. The schedules can be color coded to make them easier to read. Other features available with Schedule It include password protection, backup and restoration capabilities, schedule conflict warnings and the ability to import and export data.

Features missing from this product include a setup wizard, the ability to manage personal employee information and the capacity to print individual schedules.

Reporting Capabilities:  

The reporting section of this product could use a little work, we state that they offer at least 2 reports on our homepage for this section. However you are able to create multiple variations of these reports, like daily and weekly reports. This product can also show you who is working each shift.

Ease of Installation:  

We experienced no problems while installing Schedule It on our computer.
