Product Overview

There are no arbitrary limits on the number of rosters or schedules you can enter or the number of staff or resources you can roster or schedule. It is suitable for both pattern based and unstructured rosters.

SchedulerLite makes rostering, scheduling and booking easy. Build your rosters in seconds, print out individual employee schedules / timesheets for your staff and print the complete roster for reference. It will save you time freeing you up to do other more important things.

Features

Pictorial (i.e. GUI) and spreadsheet style views for rostering.
The pictorial or graphical view of a roster supports drag and drop for ease of use. For example, available staff can be dragged from a list onto the roster display. The time period staff are rostered for can be altered by dragging and dropping. The pictorial view is also excellent for visually checking your roster. The spreadsheet or tabular view of a roster is good for quick entry of the roster details if you prefer to use the keyboard. You can toggle freely back and forwards between the two views.
Recording and checking staff availability for rostering.
Time periods that staff or assets are not available for rostering can be recorded. Then you can validate your rosters to ensure that staff and assets are available for the periods of time they are rostered on. You can set up your own categories to describe why they are not available (e.g. leave for staff, maintenance for assets).
In addition you can record when employees start or end their employment with you or when assets are acquired or disposed of. This data is then used to ensure that you only schedule staff and assets at your disposal.

If you assign staff to multiple rosters that run concurrently then you can also check to ensure that they are not over-committed.
Rostering shifts and repeating roster patterns.
Roster patterns and shift based rosters are easily repeated by copying whole rosters or patterns within rosters. Once you have set up the first roster, shift or pattern it is simply a matter of copying it.
Parameterizable display of roster.
The display of both the pictorial and tabular views of a roster can be changed to suit your needs. The data that is displayed in the pictorial view of a roster can be controlled by using the preferences. This includes who is rostered on, the start and end times for the rostered period, default duration of the rostered period, who is standing-in and the user defined categories. The tabular view supports group by, sorting, selection of columns to be displayed and their sequence.
Parameterizable print preview and printing of reports (e.g. roster, timesheet).
There are two type of parameterization used with the reports. The first controls the scope of what is printed and the second controls the data that is displayed (e.g. user defined categories).
User defined categories (e.g. draft/ completed roster, unconfirmed/ confirmed staff availability).
The user defined categories can be used to keep track of things you are interested in. For example you may need to keep track of who has or hasn't confirmed their availability, differentiate between who is on-call and who is working, whether the roster is a draft or finalized or why an alternate resource was required. How you use these categories depends on what you need.
Import and export of data.
Data can be imported or exported using CSV (Comma Separated Variable) files. Import personnel or asset data. Export data to MS Access to do your own 'end-user' reporting.
