Our #4 employee scheduling software is TimeCurve Scheduler from TimeCurve Software. Although this product offers a fair number of reports and is really fairly easy to use, TimeCurve Scheduler's lack of useful features kept it from climbing any higher within our rankings.
TimeCurve Scheduler does come with a few features to help you create schedules for both employees and clients alike, allowing you to assign schedule hours, jobs and even projects. There is also a setup wizard to walk you through the schedule-creation process.
The features this software lacks, however, include password protection, the ability to post schedules online, scheduling employees for multiple locations within the program, define holidays or specifying your week-start day.
We found TimeCurve Scheduler to be fairly easy to use. The program is designed with four small icons in the upper left-hand corner of the screen. Through them, you can schedule clients, manage employees and view your schedule. Although fairly convenient, we felt these icons were too small—making them too hard to see, especially for people that need reading glasses.
We liked the reporting wizard offered by TimeCurve Scheduler, which helps you to find the right report to help you gather information on your employees, clients or schedules in general. Although this product comes with several useful reporting options, some of the reports not available with it include, trade summaries and time off summaries.
We had no problems installing TimeCurve Scheduler.
TimeCurve Scheduler by TimeCurve Software is a good idea if you work with clients or contract employees and you're not looking for scheduling software with a lot of bells and whistles. However, if you want employee scheduling software that gives you everything you need to quickly and effectively manage your employee schedules, check out one of our top rated products: WhenToWork, Time Tracker and Schedule It.
